TAI CHI CHUAN
Described as "meditation in motion," Tai Chi Chuan consists of a standing person performing a series of postures or bodily movements in a slow and graceful manner, with each movement flowing without pause to the next. As a system of physical exercise used to improve and maintain health, Tai Chi can be helpful in achieving a state of physical and mental relaxation while also strengthening the cardiovascular and immune systems.
The practice of Tai Chi Chuan can strengthen the body, increase stamina, generate energy, clear and calm the mind and harmonize the spirit. It is a life-long learning process that yields its mysteries and benefits over time.
New students begin by learning a long, slow sequence of circular, balanced movements. These elegant movements are the foundation of the entire system and embody all of the physical, martial and philosophical principles of Tai Chi Chuan.
Stone Ridge Healing Arts Tai Chi Chuan practitioner is Bobbi Esmark.
