Linda I. Kawer, L.C.S.W.

Linda is a psychotherapist who has practiced in New York for twenty-five years. In her practice, she integrates traditional psychotherapy with dreamwork and an eclectic array of body/mind approaches. Linda specializes in trauma, addictions, eating disorders, body image issues, gender/sexual identity issues and intimacy/relationship issues. She works with individuals, couples and families and also offers individualized day-long and weekend intensive retreats.

Linda offers consultation and supervision for professionals. She runs ongoing Vibrant Peace groups based on meditation and the psychospiritual concepts of the Pathwork. Together with Sil Reynolds NP, Linda offers workshops teaching and facilitating Marion Woodman's BodySoul Rhythms © work. Linda, Sil Reynolds NP and Sherry Wheaton M.D. teach a women's retreat entitled Conscious Femininity: A Women's Retreat for Body and Soul at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. Their next scheduled retreat is October 19-24, 2008.

Linda received a BA from Barnard College and an MSW from Adelphi University. She is also a Pathwork 50/50 Helper and is a graduate of Marion Woodman's BodySoul Rhythms © Leadership Training. She worked for the Ulster County Community Mental Health Clinic for over ten years, coordinating intensive treatment programs in addictions, training and supervising clinicians.
